It was a really cool experience! The studio's purpose I believe is to educate future sound-technicians and producers. My friend is one of them. I believe he's going to be successful, but the term is a bit vague, don't you think? To me successful in this sence would be that he will be able to produce some really interesting, cool-sounding music and I cannot wait to hear it all! Whether or not he's going to be recognised/famous is, I think, not directly related to success necessarily. Oh well, it all depends doesn't it?
Anyways, it was super cool to see my very talented friends working with their respective specialties in the studio, I actually felt a bit inferior, but not uncomfortable. That's the influence these guys have over me! We're in the process of recording a cover of "Ain't no sunshine" by Bill Withers. Probably one of my favourite songs of all time. It is simple but so passionate and deep. It has all it needs musically. The lyrics are understandable and can be interpreted in different ways, but the music contributes with a relaxed, mellow mood. It's perfect!

What was also cool was to hear my own voice so clearly in the headphones. At one point I started giggling which resulted in a long time's laughing as it was such a weird thing to hear one's giggle in reverb. We didn't have time to record my part yesterday, but my day will come when I come back from my little "vacation" up north. I'm rambling, am I not? Sorry. I'll leave you to it. It's a sunny day - enjoy!
