I have been called in to an audition for a job there and am now looking through a few options and as my history has been very stage-y I've decided to do something show-y. I was thinking about doing a musical routine but as I have been informed that the stage is very small, and as I know how demanding it can be to sing and dance simultaneously I want to do something with a bit more attitude/persona instead.
This is what I have come up with so far (with a little help from my friends), but I have til April to choose and "practice". Exciting!
When You're Good To Mama - Queen Latifa
Got this as a suggestion yesterday from a talk I had with a cousin, we watched it a couple of times and had a few good laughs - Queen Latifa is just so stunningly perfect for this!
Big Spender - Shirley Bassey
... aaand finally after having seen "A Week With Marilyn" in which Michelle Williams was amazing...
Diamond's Are A Girl's Best Friend - Marilyn Monroe
But I think I'm leaning towards one of the first two options or something else if it presents itself. What do you think? :)
